A New Path, is a quilt I created for my daughter Bethany and new son-in-law Jeff in honor of their marriage. This is just the center section of this huge queen-size quilt.

The machine quilting design (which needs a name) is one I created just for this piece. The large swirls, some with petals, fit well with the scale of the blocks adding another layer of movement. The 40 to 50 fabrics, both batiks and prints, are all my favorites from my stash. I love the juxtaposition of cool teals, blues, and greens with the warm rusts and golds making the quilt sparkle with a jewel-like quality.
